At the westcoast you'll find a lot of beaches between cliffs and rocks. Most of them aren't recommended for swimming cause the wind blows strong, waves are high and undercurrents can become really dangerous.
Aguas Verdes means "green waters" and where the usually blue water of the atlantic ocean converges between the cliffs it seems green.
First: At Aguas Verdes you'll find no restaurants, bars, cafés or supermarkets. So prepare and take enough water and Snacks with you or eat at Antigua ;)
To get there we followed the route FV-320 (Ctra. Mojadilla de la Concepción) from Valle de Santa Inés. We passed the closed hotel "Aguas Verdes" (and knew we were on the right track ^^) and shortly after that the nice road became a gravel road. We followed it to the ocean we could already see and parked the car at the nearly end of the road.
We walked past a privat ground and ignored the "private" sign. Left there was a downhill path we took and one minute later we stood at the beach reverent watching the waves breaking at the rocks.
At next we follow the coast northbound and climbed the cliffs. Of course we had to be careful cause we didn't want to fall into the wate and sometimes waves became that high, that a dry and save place to stand and watch suddenly was flooded.
While climbing we found a lot of small natural swimmingpools with fished inside. Even a big crab! But those pools weren't big enough to swim cause we had bad timing.
Between the roocks where the water dried the ground was white of salt. Hope, it's visible on my photos.
When we had enough we climbed a bit higher, cause there was a path leading us back.
